badmouthing

Just yesterday, I happened to overhear two of my former classmates talking about a friend of mine whom they disliked but they were actually "friends" with her. Yes, "friends" - a with quotation mark. Meaning, they're faking the friendly relationship. They just share one thing in common and that is KPOP. Due to that, they stick to that friend of mine for juicy kpop info but that's just it. They dislike her. It's okay. It's pretty much absolvable. I guess being hated and hating is someone is just part of living a life here on earth.

But, I totally cringed when I heard the two laughing and rolling their eyes over the so called cheap christmas gift they received from that friend of mine. Yes, you may dislike the person but holy shit, can't you look at her positively for once or at least be grateful for the stuff you received? Really.

I encountered another case today similar to that, a classmate of mine who is also disliked by many in our class, brought food from her hometown for the class. The people who badmouthed her were so fucking nice to her while munching all the food she gave. I was like...wow! where are those people who talk badly behind her back?

Seriously, I pity these two people (my friend & my classmate) they were so innocent with the way people treat them. I admit, I can't help but also say something unpleasant behind someone BUT right now, I am seriously taking the effort to remove that habit, because I want to lessen the negativity in my life. As for those people who backstab, uhhmm...okay you don't like the person...what does your conscience tells you whenever you get good stuff from the person you badmouth?

---Just asking.
