"Christmas Spirit" 2010

Today is December 25! For me Christmas has passed without actually getting the feel of it. For me it's just another ordinary holiday. I feel bad for saying this since most people will say that true Christmas means celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and stuff. Yeah! That's true. Happy Birthday Jesus! BUT THEN! I don't think people especially Christians also know the reason why we celebrate Christmas.

It's funny how people remember Santa Claus more than Jesus in Christmas. You can see Santa decorations here and there but where is Baby Jesus? I didn't see a single image of him displayed. To make things short, Santa has more exposure than Jesus every Christmas.

There were also christmas carols sung by a bunch of kids in our neighborhood. I don't want to sound mean but I do feel irritated whenever I hear them. It's not that I don't like hearing carols but I know for a fact that they don't even know what they were singing. It's okay to get out of tune but holy freak, they didn't know the lyrics. They sounded like they were just mumbling shit.
What's worse about that, they were just after the money. That's the reason why they sing Jingle Bells. They have the wrong purpose of singing Christmas carols.

All in all, this year's Christmas failed. Hopefully, people will know the true meaning of Christmas (including me) in the next seasons.
